The work armchair of a great character and a great writer.
Vicente Blasco Ibáñez (Valencia, 1867 - Menton, France 1928), is the contemporary Spanish writer most renowned and international success.
Sitting in this armchair, wrote his famous first naturalistic novels: Rice and tartane, 1894; Flower of May 1895; The barrack, 1898; Between orange trees, 1900; Reeds and mud, 1902; as well as his other novels of social court: The Cathedral, 1903; The intruder, 1904; The winery, 1905 and The horde, 1906.
For lack of two years for the 150 anniversary of his birth, this armchair is still vacant of proprietary due to the negligence, the disinterest and the economic precariousness of the Town hall of Valencia (Spain).
